Biography
Dr. Sanders attended the University of Georgia in Athens, GA where he earned a B.S.E.S in Water and Soil resources in 2014 and a M.S. in Crop and Soil Sciences in 2017. In 2018 Dr. Sanders accepted a position as a research technologist at Penn State University in State College, PA but he soon returned to classes and research and earned his Ph.D. in Soil Science and Biogeochemistry at the same institution in 2023. In June of 2023 Dr. Sanders accepted a position as an assistant professor of Environmental Science at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, OK. He teaches courses in the university’s Interdisciplinary Studies Program, as well as courses in Earth System Science, Environmental Science, and Ecology. His research interests include sustainable agricultural systems, agroecosystem modeling, and ecosystem nutrient cycling. In his free time, Dr. Sanders enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, fly tying, and hiking.
