Biography

Dr. Doughan is a Professor of Chemistry and Computer Science at USAO.

As a theoretical computational physical chemist, Dr. Doughan provides his expertise to our Chemistry and Computer Science programs.

Dr. Doughan's research interests revolve around finding new theoretical and computational approaches through which potential energy surfaces of organic reaction dynamics can be predicted, explored, and analyzed using quantum mechanics and artificial neural networks.

Dr. Doughan is an active member of the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the American Council on Education.

Dr. Doughan is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Beta Delta, and Phi Lambda Upsilon honor societies.
